Medical Tourism Costs and Payment FAQ

Costs and Payment

1. What is included in the cost of the treatment package(s), and are there any potential hidden fees?

After a proper consultation (fee-based), the Medical Tourism Concierge will offer a pricing range for the desired procedure(s) to embark upon over a two year period. Your personal plan will include options for funding the effort and allow a transparent view of all true costs involved. Similar to a business plan, monies are best optimized when planned out and aligned to one's goals. All-in costs for medical spa experiences range from $50-$2500, while Medical Tourism/Wellness retreat and surgical experiences range from $2500 to $250,000 depending upon the number of procedures, extensive recovery, locale, nursing staff, and travel class. For those interested in booking/facilitating their own travel and procedures the cost of the start-up Medical Tourism training course is $349 per person.

2. How are payments handled, and do I need to pay any fees upfront or upon arrival?

All payments are due upfront to the airlines, accommodation, hospitals, doctors, nursing staff, ambulatory transport, and concierge. Payments can be made via Medical Tourism Concierge using credit card/HSA or directly to the suppliers. Expect to pay local taxes, country fees, visa fees, bespoke meals, souvenir costs, and local sightseeing costs upon arrival unless specified within the personal Medical Tourism plan.

3. Can you share the policy for when unexpected complications may lead to additional costs?

Unexpected costs are typically the responsibility of the patient at the time the issue occurs; however, a Medical Tourism Concierge can virtually eliminate this risk with proper planning ahead of the event. Additionally, a patient can purchase travel medical insurance prior to the trip for less than $25 a day.
