Legal and Ethical Considerations
QUESTION. What legal protections and patient rights are in place for international patients at your affiliated hospitals?
Answer. Surge Med Spa Transformations works with hospitals/clinics that closely observe US standards and patient rights; however, it is important to remember these facilities are not in the US and clients should conduct extensive research before traveling for a medical procedure. Developed countries usually have the same or more severe restrictions on patient information (e.g. GDPR). Developing countries are finding ways to better secure patient data.
QUESTION. What support do you provide if I have any disputes or issues with the treatment provider?
Answer. Surge Med Spa Transformations desires the best experience for every client. While on the medical tour the Medical Tourism Concierge/ Facilitator will obtain the issue from the client, place it into writing for agreement, and advocate with the treatment provider to find an optimal solution. Once the client has returned home, it is the responsibility of the client to raise issues and negotiate personal health solutions.
